Operations Management
Manufacturing and service companies must manage operations; those activities that convert inputs to the business into value added goods and services. Operations managers are usually responsible for product quality, scheduling resources, operations efficiency and cost, and maintaining operating systems. Coursework for this program includes industrial purchasing, advanced production concepts, production planning and control and management of quality control. Through these courses, you will learn how to design purchasing systems, manage inventory controls, establish quality control mechanisms and utilize the current computer applications for production and operation management. There are a wide variety of entry level positions in operations management.
