Transferring to Central
More than 1,500 students transfer to Central Michigan University each year from community colleges and other accredited universities and colleges. Transfer students are a top priority at CMU.

- CMU is third in the state for awarding bachelor''s degrees conferred in business, following MSU and WMU.
- CMU is the only university in Michigan to partner with Special Olympics Michigan, and CMU has hosted the state Summer Olympics Games for 38 years.
- In 1980, CMU became the first university nationwide to offer a four-year accredited athletic training program.
- CMU develops more than 5,000 student leaders annually through programs administered by its nationally known Leadership Institute, the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Student Life.
