President’s Charges to Increase Diversity
at CMU
 Significant
progress has been made in addressing President Michael Rao’s
directives regarding campus diversity since the passage of Proposal
2 in November 2006. All of his 22 directives that support
the CMU Board of Trustees Dec. 7, 2006 resolution to enhance
diversity at CMU have been addressed.
Dr.
Denise Green assumed the role of associate vice president of
institutional diversity in July 2007. She has been coordinating
efforts to address the final directive of updating and implementing
the university’s Strategic Plan for Achieving Diversity.
