FAQs - QuickTime Streaming Server
The QuickTime Streaming Server is a CMU centrally provided server solution for live and on demand streaming of audio/video.
If you are experiencing trouble playing the media hosted by the streaming server, it is recommended that you upgrade or reinstall the most current version, available here:

You can also verify whether or not your local player or browser plug-in is working correctly, and get additional help, by visiting the following site:

Additional Technical support is provided through the CMU IT Help Desk at (989) 774-3662.
Some streaming services are available to the general public. If you are not a current CMU Faculty, Staff or Student, the CMU Help Desk will not be able to provide full troubleshooting support for your computer, but will still be able to confirm if the web site you are trying to reach is functioning correctly.
