Test and Survey Scanning

Test and survey optical scanning is performed by the OIT Help Desk using Scantron technology. Bubble sheets are scored and results are returned along with a number of useful reports to your CMU email account. Tests are scored in the order that they are received, and can be scanned while you wait most of the time. Physical copies of the test or survey will be sent to your on-campus address if you do not wish to pick them up, via inter-office mail.

Location and Hours

Tests can be dropped off and picked up during Help Desk hours in Park Library 101 (as long as the library is open).

OIT provides the following standardized forms for test scanning and survey scanning. Test and survey response forms are available for purchase from University Stores, with the exception of Control Sheets, which are available from the Help Desk free of charge.
