Projects
Projects in OIT are managed centrally through the Project Management Office (PMO), which reports to the Office of the CIO. If you cannot find what you are looking for in the following explanations, please contact Sarah Bendele.
What is the role of the OIT Project Management Office?
The PMO works directly with the CIO and Directors for planning projects in the Office of Information Technology. Directives of the PMO include:
- Defining project management processes and procedures, including project-related documentation, communications, training and testing.
- Managing the OIT Planning cycle (see Plans page)
- Training staff on how to incorporate PM processes and procedures into project work.
- Reviewing and updating project management processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
- Providing web-based reporting on current programs and projects across all of OIT.
