University Community Advisory Panel

UCAP

The University Community Advisory Panel (UCAP) serves as an advisory body designed to improve communication and coordination among all employee groups and the student leadership at CMU. It provides a regular mechanism for ensuring that issues, interests, and concerns are discussed and/or forwarded to an appropriate office, constituency or group.

The group charge is:
1. To act as an advisory panel to the president and executive staff.
2. To facilitate communication and openly share information.
3. To shift issues that come up to appropriate reviewing bodies.
4. To provide a forum for discussions of constituency groups that is broad and significantly impact the university.
5. To discuss strategies to building a more shared governance oriented community.
