Refunds
Refunds are issued from Central Michigan University for a variety of reasons including disbursement of financial aid, dropped courses, bookstore returns, etc. All refunds are issued electronically either via Direct Deposit into a personal checking or savings account or to the CMU Money Card. The CMU Money Card is a declining balance MasterCard issued by Money Network which can be used conveniently anywhere MasterCard is accepted. In addition, the Money Card can also be used at any on campus ATM to withdraw cash for free. Students are required to choose a refund option on the Portal by selecting “finances” and then “refund payment option”. The Student Account Services and University Billing Office does not issue paper refund checks.
