Top 10 Reasons to Join Honors
1. National Recognition: CMU Honors students have won first place awards for the past three years (including Honors Student of the Year) from the National Collegiate Honors Council, the largest Honors College organization in the nation.
2. Research: Honors students do significant undergraduate research with CMU's best professors and present their research at national and international conferences.
3. Academic Planning: All Honors freshman will have individual four year academic plans created that will guide them through graduation in the most efficient and comprehensive manner possible.
4. Leadership: Honors students are not only academically prominent, but also key campus leaders. The current Student Government President, both Homecoming Gold Ambassadors, and the 2005 Mortar Board Freshman of the Year are Honors students.
