The CMU Web site is designed to express CMU's supportive environment and active learning culture. These guidelines are provided to ensure consistent navigation and coordinated identity with the university's home page.

Meta Elements

Meta elements are a simplistic and useful means for providing information about the content of your Web site. They are used extensively by Web search engines such as Google© or Yahoo© as well as other online tools. Meta elements are placed within the element of your HTML document. Below is an example of a simple keywords meta element and description meta element.
