University Recreation Advisory Council (URAC)
 The URAC will review operational decisions, policies, and procedures and assist in development of departmental goals and vision statements. In addition, URAC will serve as the sounding board for suggestions from the campus community on improving services provided by the URec administration and to campus constituencies on behalf of the University Recreation department. The council will have the responsibility for reviewing long-term strategic plans and University Recreation program plans, budgets, and facility development and renovations for
the department.

 The Department of University Recreation through full use of its personnel, both students and staff, and facilities and services, will provide such programs to (1) complement and support the academic mission of the University; (2) provide lifetime appreciation of and involvement in physical and recreational activities and enhance student's educational experience; (3) encourage a commitment to effective participation in the community at large; (4) provide multi-faceted recreational, fitness and wellness programs and opportunities which seek to meet diverse needs of our students' and campus community; (5) assist our recreation users in developing the highest possible quality of life; and (6) promote social and interpersonal development based on appreciation and diversity.
