The safety of fans attending events at Central Michigan University is very important to the CMU Police Department and CMU Athletics. During a football game at Kelly Shorts Stadium, there are various security measures and plans in place to create a safe and enjoyable gameday environment.
If you observe a safety concern or problem during the event, please contact any member of the event staff. If no event staff can be located, contact the CMU Police Department at (989) 774-3081 or by dialling 911 in the event of an emergency.
The following are guidelines for entering Kelly Shorts Stadium:

- Seat Cushions
- Binoculars
- Pagers and Cell Phones
- Small Camera or Radio
- Blankets and Rain Apparel
Prohibited Items
- Bags larger than 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 2"
- Outside food and drink (sealed or unsealed)
- Aerosol and spray cans
- Weapons
- Umbrellas
- Animals
- Alcoholic beverages
- Coolers, thermoses, cups, bottles, cans, flasks
- Water bottles
- Artificial noisemakers
- Smoking in the stadium
