Colleen Green, Director of STEP, is a tribal member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education in 2001 and a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2009. Colleen is blessed with three sons and a wonderful husband. While attending CMU as an undergrad, Colleen was President of the North American Indigenous Student Organization (NAISO) and is a national member of the AISES Organization and for the past few years has spent one week every summer as a camp counselor at CMU’s NAISEC youth camp. She is a firm believer in educating all people in relation to the Anishinabek culture. green4cm@cmich.edu

Patricia Emenpour is the academic advisor for the Student Transition Enrichment Program (STEP). Patty, a Saginaw native, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Central Michigan University in 2011 and is set to earn her Master’s of Science in Administration degree with a concentration in Public Administration also from CMU in 2013. Patty is the academic advisor for STEP students as well as the members of Sigma Lambda Gamma. She lives in the Isabella County area with her wonderful fiancé Jamie and two adorable cats: Jiggli Puff and Poliwag. emenp1pa@cmich.edu

Sarah Avery is the administrative secretary for both the Office of Diversity Education and the Native American Programs offices, and for the Student Transition Enrichment Program (STEP). She has a BS in Telecommunications & Film from Eastern Michigan University and an Associate in Executive Secretary from Montcalm Community College. Sarah is also a certified Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork practitioner. She is taking one class a semester at CMU and is slowly working toward adding a second major, in religion. wojto1sa@cmich.edu
