What GEAR UP means to me.....
GEAR UP has given me the opportunity to give back and feel as though I am having a positive influence in the young peoples lives. Because of the GEAR UP staff, I felt more welcomed and appreciated and it gave me a reason to stay at CMU. I am very thankful because since I have decided to stay, I have been exposed to numerous great opportunities at Central! Although I was not a part of GEAR UP in middle and high school, I still feel as though I am a member of the GEAR UP mission and their goals for student's futures. GEAR UP is a wonderful opportunity and environment and I feel blessed to be a part of it.
