Why Study Special Education?
The study of Special Education will help you to develop a knowledge and understanding at both the undergraduate and graduate level regarding the education of individuals with exceptionalities across their life span. All programs provide students extensive opportunities for the experiential application of skills as well as current research-based educational practices critical to being a successful educator. If you are interested in a career in special education or want to gain specific skills for working with persons with exceptionalities, you should discuss your plans with a member of the Special Education faculty.
