Applying to the Teacher Education Program
Page Content

Admission to the Teacher Education program is every fall and spring for the NMC/CMU program. There is a teacher education admission checklist that outlines all of the requirements for getting admitted to the program. This is a student managed process, which means students are responsible for making sure all of their application materials are completed and turned into CMU at the University Center by the deadline.

APPLICATION STATUS: Within several days after submitting the application for the Teacher Education Program to the CMU at the University Center the applicant can check the status of that application at the CSS website. From your application and other documents, CSS creates an electronic file known as the "Student Information Sheet." This file should be monitored regularly by the applicant to assure that all information is correct. To check the Student Information Sheet, click on "Student Information Sheet" button on the right hand side of this page and then sign in using the global ID and password. Discrepancies should be reported to CSS by printing a copy of the SI sheet and contacting CSS staff or academic advisors.

Please Note: Students will be held to the current admission criteria at the time that they complete their Admission requirements. It is important that students get a new checklist every semester until they are admitted to the program. A student must go by the Admission Checklist that is in place the semester they are admitted. It is the student's responsibility to check current admission criteria. Please check the web site: or call the Center for Student Services, EHS 421, 989-774-3309
