The College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences (CHSBS) strives to help students better understand people and communities at regional, national and international levels and also believes that students need to understand the past to make a difference in the future.

CHSBS provides a significant portion of the liberal arts education in which all students must participate in order to graduate. The college has more than 250 faculty members and is home to the following departments and programs:
