The Great Lakes section of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (GLSIAM) has drawn members from industries and universities since its inception in 1952. GLSIAM serves Michigan, northern Ohio, northern Indiana, southern Ontario and surrounding areas.
The annual conference is the leading forum for the presentation of new advances and research in the field of computational mathematics. The 2013 conference will bring together leading researchers and students from the Great Lakes region - mainly from universities and some industries such as The Dow Chemical Company, Dow Corning and Ford.
