CMU student (undergraduate or graduate). Willing and able to deal with and resolve conflict. General knowledge of sports and willingness to learn and apply officiating techniques. Previous officiating experience or certifications NOT required.

To Apply

Interested and qualified individuals who have not previously been employed at CMU as an Intramural Official must attend an Intramural Officials Roundup to be eligible for employment. Following the Roundup meetings, all candidates for employment will need to attend and Administrative Meeting, where they will be tested on rules knowledge, and possibly interviewed by staff members. Following the Administrative Meetings, all individuals will be notified via email of hire status.  

Fall 2011 Roundup Dates:

• Tuesday August 30th, 6:30pm in the NIRSA Room of the SAC
• Wednesday August 31st, 6:30pm in the NIRSA Room of the SAC

Please note that interested candidates do not need to apply online or submit any application or resume at any point before the Officials Roundup. If hired, an individual will need to complete necessary paperwork and submit application, but this information will be covered at the officials Roundups and Administrative Meetings.

If an interested candidate is unable to attend an Officials Roundup or Administrative Meeting due to class, please notify the Assistant Director - Intramural Sports beforehand in order to make other arrangements.
