SoTL is scholarly research designed to improve your teaching, as well as that of other instructors in similar contexts. SoTL research can be in any discipline and may be presented at SoTL conferences or at a variety of teaching and learning conferences, as well as for publishing in your discipline-based journals.
SoTL research methods can include experimental, ethnographic, and other research approaches, whether using a control group, focus groups, existing data, case studies, surveys, etc.
