Required Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in an academic discipline from an accredited institution.
• Academic record commensurate with appointment as a tenured full professor in a department at CMU.
• Demonstrated successful experience in higher education administration as provost, college dean or comparable position.
• Demonstrated strategic fiscal planning and budget management experience in a complex organization.
• Demonstrated record of effective leadership and successful work with colleagues across divisions.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to work towards the implementation of a diversity plan.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enhancing graduate and undergraduate education, research and creative endeavors and external funding.
• Experience with online and off-campus education.
• Experience with professional education programs including medical and health-related disciplines.
• Familiarity with responsibility centered management.
• Experience working in a collective bargaining environment.
• Experience working with external stakeholders.
