Scholarships

Each academic year the Department of Teacher Education & Professional Development is able to offer a number of scholarships to students admitted to teacher education. In early February, criteria for eligibility and selection, instructions, and application materials are posted on this website. Awards are made for the following academic year.

A TEPD faculty committee reviews the applications and sends recipient recommendations to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid reviews the recommendations to verify eligibility. Recipients are then informed by letter of scholarship they are being recommended for by the end of spring semester. A recipient list is also posted on this website.

In early February of each year TEPD scholarships are posted, and the links in the following paragraph are updated.

Students intersted in pursuing TEPD scholarships should first read the Criteria for Scholarships (sample) thoroughly, this list describes the criteria and eligibility requirements for each scholarship.  Students cannot be admitted to the Teacher Education Program until they complete at least 45 credit hours of coursework.

If you would like more information about the scholarships, the requirements, or have questions about the application process, please contact Lori Moon in EHS 421 at 989-774-4410 or moon1l@cmich.edu.
