January 2012,
CDT Nicholas Palka (Romeo High School graduate)
was contracted into CMU's Army ROTC program.
In the Fall Semester 2011 cadets contracted into CMU's Army ROTC program. Several cadets were recipients of scholarships, varying from two to four years. They received the scholarships based on their high school GPA's, fitness test scores, and leadership qualities. Between a cadet's junior and senior years, the cadets go to LDAC (Leadership Development and Assessment Course) where they are tested on everything they have learned during their training here at CMU. Upon graduation, the cadets will commission into the Army as 2LT and will be required to serve four years on either Active Duty or in a Reserve component. Once they commission as an officer, they will continue on to specialty training to further their career.
