Donations to this fund are used for general operating support of the museum, including
- acquiring collection objects
- funding educational programs, and
- supporting collections preservation activities

This endowment fund provides long-range support for the expansion of the museum.
Walter P. Nickell Natural History Scholarship Endowment
This endowment supports an annual scholarship given to an undergraduate student minoring in museum studies who is interested in pursuing natural history as a career.
