The MGA strives to provide high-quality, affordable, in-service workshops and products for teachers.

We offer workshops for districts and ISDs aligned with Michigan Content Standards, GLCEs and HSCEs, on these general topics:

Teachers in Grades 3-4

  • Michigan Studies
  • United States Regions
  • Early American History

Teachers in Grades 6-7

  • World Geography
  • World History Eras 1-3

Teachers in Grades 9-11

  • World History and Geography

Teachers in Grades 5, 8, 11

  • United States History and Geography

Costs

All Day Workshops

$200 plus transportation and $10/teacher

MGA will provide:

  • 2 presenters
  • Materials and teacher resources

Host site will provide:

  • Classroom space
  • Food, as appropriate
  • Advertising and audience

Half Day Workshops

$100 plus transportation and $10/teacher

MGA will provide:

  • 1 or 2 presenters
  • Materials and teacher resources

Host site will provide:

  • Classroom space
  • Food, as appropriate
  • Advertising and audience

After School Workshops

$100 plus transportation and $10/teacher

MGA will provide:

  • 1 or 2 presenters
  • Materials and teacher resources

Host site will provide:

  • Classroom space
  • Food, as appropriate
  • Advertising and audience
