The MI GEAR UP 2012 Summer Adventure was a great way to spend the summer for our Flint cohort 7th graders actively thinking about college. The theme was "College 101" and was funded through a partnership between Central Michigan University, Flint Area Schools, Michigan Campus Compact and Kettering University.

 

Students participated in academic workshops, service learning project at Flint's Atwood Stadium, college exposure and recreational fieldtrips, Ligon Nature Center and the culminationg activity of spending one week on the campus of  Central Michigan University.
