The mission of the ESS division is to “deliver quality services and co-curricular activities that enhance the student experience and promote student engagement.” At CMU, student voice is important; after all, you are the reason we’re here. Our success is defined by our students.

We recognize that in this time of economic recalibration, students (and their families) have many choices to continue their education. We are happy that you have selected CMU; we’re confident that you will find your experience here both rewarding and fulfilling. We believe that engaging students in various activities that support what they learn inside the classroom and promote leadership, civic engagement, and socialization creates a more holistic graduate who is highly marketable in an increasingly competitive workplace and better positioned to contribute to society as a whole.

As you utilize this site and learn more about the Leadership Institute, Volunteer Center, Career Services, residence halls, student activities, and financial aid and scholarship opportunities, to name a few, you will understand that we strive to be a strong resource to students and their families as they navigate their educational experience.
