BMW Tech Assistant

Responsibilities
Position Overview: Assist Building Maintenance Worker in performing preventative and routine maintenance and minor repairs within the Student Activity Center. This position will require the student to work in 4 hour blocks. Up to 16 hours are available at this time.

Major Duties: Assist with minor repairs in the facility. Plumbing responsibilities include: replacing plumbing parts for the bathroom toilet, sinks and showers. Carpentry responsibilities include: replacing or installing and repairing furniture, and painting. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
CMU student (undergraduate or graduate), who is interested in the field of IET and wants to gain the experience through learning inside/ outside the classroom. General knowledge in carpentry, electrical and plumbing desirable. General knowledge of hand and light power tools.

Certifications Requirement:
Adult, Child and Infant CPR and Standard First Aid (American Red Cross preferred)and Right to Know training.
