Position Overview: Assist in the management of the Student Activity Center and Rose Center Complex during hours of operation.
Major Duties: Enforce all facility, membership, and student employee policies and regulations determined by the department of University Recreation; responsible for equipment set-ups and tear-downs; assist in supervising all University Recreation student staff/volunteers; complete written reports/documents; first responder to any medical emergencies that occur in the facility. Record statistical data on facility area usage; assist with events/programs that are scheduled in the facility; facility tours as requested.
CMU student (undergraduate or graduate), Either worked for the department for a two semester time period (summer I and II qualifies as one semester); OR have comparable experience; appreciation of a diverse staff, membership and participants. (Current URec Staff that have not accrued a total of 6 violation points during a semester are eligible to apply.)
Professional Rescuer CPR and Standard First Aid (American Red Cross-preferred), AED (preferred), Blood Borne Pathogen, and Right to Know training. (Must be obtained prior to start date.)
