Graphic/Web Designer/Social Media/Photography

Responsibilities

Position Overview: To develop and maintain the departments web site and assist with the development of marketing publications for University Recreation.

Major Duties: Design, create, update and modifiy existing department’s markting pieces; graphic design/layout and code; maintains consistency in designs; provide service in responding to questions/requests/complaints from users; update marquee messages; assist in the of design of marketing materials, fliers, brochures, and apparel, etc.; responsible for distributing fliers to campus locations and all residence halls; other duties as assigned.

Minor Duties: Responsible for ensuring that the website operates as expected; consults with the department on which software/hardware to purchase, update and/or replace; ensure hyperlinks to other www are current; conduct digital photo shoots and videotaping of events as needed.

Qualifications

CMU student (undergraduate or graduate) who is interested in the in the area of graphic and web page design. Must be knowledgeable in (but not limited to): hardware installations and maintenance; Dreamweaver; Adobe Photoshop; HTML; JavaScript; Flash and other graphic software; Macintosh computers; creativity in design layout; scanning and digital camera.

Adult, Child and Infant CPR and Standard First Aid (American Red Cross – preferred), A.E.D Certification (preferred) and Right to Know training. Must be obtained once position as been offered and accepted.
