Supervision and Support Received

The Executive Vice President and Provost functions as an at-will employee under the general supervision and support of the President of the University, but will hold a position as a tenured professor in an academic department. The Executive Vice President and Provost is evaluated annually by the President on the basis of goal accomplishment and leadership effectiveness.

Supervision and Support Extended

The Executive Vice President and Provost supervises and supports the seven college deans; the deans of Libraries and Graduate Studies; vice presidents for Global Campus, Research, and Technology; vice provosts for Academic Administration and Academic Affairs; associate vice president for Institutional Diversity; executive director of International Affairs; and unit directors (see www.cmich.edu/orgchart).
