Saturday Art School @ CMU
Registration closed for the fall 2012.
Children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade are warmly invited to join the Saturday Art School program for Fall 2012.
Description:
Saturday Art School is an eight-week art enrichment program for K-6 students, where they are engaged in art making encounters with various art concepts and media. Saturday Art School provides an opportunity for children to experience visual arts instruction in a supportive, small group setting. Activities involve both traditional and contemporary artistic processes, and are designed around a new theme each term. Seven weeks of enrichment activities (classes) are lead by our pre-service art education majors and culminate in an exhibition of student work and reception for their families on week eight.
Saturday Art School is part of the CMU Art Education program. Sessions are taught by pre-service teachers and supervised by Art Education faculty.
