Faculty/Staff Bios - Doug Berry
Doug Berry, former Vice President Regional Creative Director of Young & Rubicam Advertising, joined the CMU Department of Journalism in the spring of 2008.
 
He received his undergraduate degree in Public Relations from Wayne State University. He teaches and advises advertising major students. He also serves as the adviser for Ad Club.
 
Over a 30-year career, Berry has written over $1 billion in advertising for clients including: Lincoln Mercury Division of Ford Motor Company, Cadillac Division of General Motors, GM Gold Card, NBD Bancorp, GM Parts, American Plastics Council, Pontiac Division of General Motors, FTD Florists, Whirlpool Corporation and Ryder Truck.
 
He was a finalist for a Clio Award and a finalist for the London International Show. He has won six International Advertising Festival of New York awards, two silver microphones, a Mobius award, two gold awards at the International Radio Festival of New York, seven Addy awards and eight Caddy awards.
