Audition Information

Audition requirements and procedures vary from production to production and are open to all CMU students regardless of major, minor or year in school.  Auditions are announced in TAI classes, and advertised through CM Life (student newspaper).  Additional information can be found on the bulletin board outside the TID Offices (Moore 133) and the callboard by the Bettisworth Green Room, or by contacting the director of each production.  Information can also be obtained by calling the office of the Department of Communication and Dramatic Arts (989-774-3177). 

Scripts will be on reserve at the Park Library Reserve Desk. Please read the scripts before auditions.

Applications for crew assignments can be found on the board outside the Theatre, Interpretation and Dance offices (Moore 133).


2013-2014 Audition Details


University Theatre Dance Company
Date/Time: August 26 and 27 - 5:30 registration - 6:00 audition
Callbacks on the August 28
Details: Students need to audition either the 26th or 27th in order to be considered for callbacks. Students should bring ballet or jazz shoes and dance sneakers if they have them.

Buffalo Gal - Directed by Steve Berglund
Roles: 3 Women & 3 Men (1 African-American)

Production Dates: October 10-13/17-20 in TOTS
Details: Auditions will be readings from the script.  Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013.  Scripts will be on reserve at the Park Library Reserve Desk by May 3rd, 2013. Please read the script before auditions.
