August 23, 2009:  Central Christian Academy, in has an opening for a lead preschool teacher (Please apply ONLY if you meet the qualifications).  You must have at least 12 credit hours completed in Early Childhood and be able to work 6 hours a day M-F.  You must have a criminal background check with through DHS, as well as an updated physical and tb test, and be willing to be cpr/first aid certified if you are not already. I am looking for someone who is a team player that loves 3 year olds and is excited about being with them everyday.  Your job would include creating and carrying out lesson plans, as well as general supervision of the children and their environment.

August 20, 2009:  The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Missouri ( http://hdfs.missouri.edu ) has an opening for a tenure-track assistant professor i n child development. Research and teaching expertise in early childhood development is required; interest in facilitating research at the department's Child Development Laboratory ( http://cdl.missouri.edu/ ) is preferred. Duties include conducting an active program of research, seeking grant funding, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising masters and doctoral students, and service. The start date for the 9-month position is August, 2010; an earned doctorate is required at the time of hire. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and expertise.
