Early Childhood Development and Learning (B.S., B.A.A., B.A.)

The Early Childhood Development and Learning major is a structured plan of study designed to meet the training guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This concentration is especially appropriate for students who planon working in early childhood settings such as preschools, Head Start programs, and child care centers without focusing on elementary education. This major is approved by the Michigan Department of Education for employment as a lead teacher in non-public school Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) preschools.
