The Family Studies program equips students with the skills to educate and support families in a variety of human service related fields. Training in theory and research is connected to professional practice so that students are able to enter human service careers at the Bachelor level. All Family Studies majors are eligible to apply for Certified Family Life Educator status from the National Council on Family Relations upon completion of their degree. Many students continue with their education to earn a counseling related licensure.
