Advising within the HDFS Program
The Coordinator of the HDFS graduate program is Dr. Brad van Eeden-Moorefield and the Assistant Coordinator is Candace Maylee. Ms. Maylee will be the graduate student's main contact person through the initial phase of the application process and early on into the graduate program. Once students are at CMU and have begun to take coursework, Dr. van Eeden-Moorefield will be their temporary advisor. During their first year in the program, each graduate student will select an advisor from the graduate faculty. That advisor, along with the student's graduate committee will provide most of the academic advising necessary to assist the student in meeting programmatic requirements.
