Submit or Check Progress on a Work Order

Note: Many work orders can be resolved over the phone by the CMU Help Desk located in the Park Library, they are available at 989-774-3662. Web submissions are to be utilized only if you are certain the presence of a technician is necessary to resolve your issue or there is an update for the computer lab submission

The form will populate with your name or you can manually enter the name and global ID of the person reqeusting service. Please be as detailed as possible when it comes to submitting work orders. We ask that if there is a computer problem, you state the room number, the computer's 6-digit CMU tag number (which is on the top or side of the machine), what operating system you are using (Windows or Mac), the issue you are having, and a contact number.

Note: Use this form only if you need to have software installed, updated, or licensed for a computer lab or podium machine. All other requests, use the link above. The form will populate with your name. Select what room or building podiums you need to have updated.  Enter the software name and manufacturing company (i.e. Microsoft Office 2007, Apple iTunes). Select your operating system, license information, and a link to download the software (or mark you have the CDs), and then click Submit to submit your entry. Please be as detailed as possible when it comes to submitting work orders.

After logging in, it will load all of your past incidents called or submitted into the Helpdesk's work order system. To review an incident, find the work order you are trying to look up and select VIEW TICKET and it will load past work order updates and resolutions.
