Clare Primary School ( http://www.cps.cgresd.net/elementary/ ) serves grades kindergarten through fourth grade. Clare has been a PDS site since January 2005. Clare is a PDS for science, math, environmental, and technology education.

Clare Primary hosts CMU student teachers, midtier students, and special education students. CMU science methods students are paired with Clare teachers and teach hands-on science activities

Family Science Night has been a tradition every fall and spring since 2004. Clare students and their parents learn strategies to do better in math and science, problem solving, and critical thinking. After school classes for students and parents were conducted in March 2004 and November 2004. Central Michigan University students in the NSTA-CMU student science education organization (affiliated with the National Science Teachers Association) set up stations where students and parents go through science and math investigations, ask and answer questions, and get a passport stamped where they can win prizes.
