Think about where you would like to be in your career ten years from now.

Once a general career destination is chosen, you should identify at least a couple of graduate degree program options that will likely help you achieve your goals. Remember that there are many different academic pathways you can explore, and there are often several different degree programs available. Invest some time and think about what's really in your best interest. Narrow down your options to just a few degree programs and then start looking for an ideal graduate school that meets your needs.
