Since graduating from Queens University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada), Ms. Gardon Rose further pursued her education and trained to become a Physician Assistant (Touro College, S.U.N.Y.) with a Masters degree in Clinical and Community Health Education (Wayne State University, Det.) and minor in Gerontology from Wayne State University (WSU's Institute of Gerontology, Detroit).  She has worked in various healthcare settings in the metropolitan and Detroit area - hospitals, nursing homes, NGO agencies, and managed care organizations.  She takes pride in her past work with Detroit's Women's-Infants'-Children's (WIC) nutrition supplement program and her involvement with Detroit's Empowerment Zone, in particular with acquiring government grants for developing and coordinating a client access information and assistance initiative.  She also greatly values her present work with the Central Michigan District Health Department in helping with community outreach and consumer health empowerment initiatives through its Together We Can - http://www.cmdhd.org/county_health_rankings.htm. 

Ms. Gardon Rose came to CMU in May 2008, serving as the Director of Clinical Services for the Carls Center for Clinical Care and Education (www.carlscenter.cmich.edu) at Central Michigan University, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.  Since coming on board to CMU, she also serves as the Privacy Officer at the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions (http://www.cmich.edu/academics/health_professions/Pages/default.aspx), a project facilitator for the Center for Collaborative Command and Leadership - http://www.teamsofleaders.org/index.html, and advisor for both the Universities Allied for Essential Medicine - http://uaem.cmich.edu/ and the Veteran Resource Center - http://global.cmich.edu/veterans/Default.aspx.   After work hours, she is busy working on her doctoral degree in health administration studies.  When she is not working on her studies, Jessica enjoys playing the violin (at the music school across campus), arts and crafts, skiing, swimming (at CMU's Student Athletic Center), cycling, and martial arts.  Ms. Gardon Rose is also the proud mother of a lovely daughter who is completing her law degree at the University of Michigan.
