1.  Application Deadline

The application deadline for our Fall 2014 SLP Program is January 15, 2014.

ALL applicants must apply using CSDCAS, an online application service. The student portal launch date for the 2014 application cycle will be posted once the date is set.  Based on past application cycles, the portal usually launches mid-September.  Prior to starting the application process, take time to review the SLP Program Directory for each school you plan on applying to, along with the FAQs and Instructions, that are available on the CAPSCD website: CSDCAS Program Directory.

2.  Supplemental Application & Fee

ALL applicants are required to submit our Supplemental Application and Fee. Click here to download the supplemental application onto your computer, complete it on your computer, and mail the application and fee to the name/address listed on the last page of the application.

3.  Graduate Record Examination (GRE) - This is a new requirement!

ALL applicants are required to take the GRE, and ALL scores must be sent directly from ETS to CSDCAS.  When you take the exam, provide ETS with our new codes:  Institution Code/Name is 0742 Central MI U CSDCAS and the Department Code/Name is 0620 Speech-Language Pathology.  

4.  ECE, WES, or Josef Silney & Associates, Inc. (Course-by-Course Evaluation) 

Coursework taken at international institutions (from non-English speaking countries) must be evaluated by ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.), WES (World Education Services), or Josef Silney and Associates, Inc. Official transcripts and an official course-by-course evaluation must be sent directly from the service to CSDCAS and to the College of Health Professions, CHP Admissions Office, HPB 1212, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48859.  Canadian students are not required to provide a foreign evaluation; however, they are required to send to the College of Health Professions official transcripts.

5.  TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

All prospective students who are not citizens of a TOEFL-exempt country must submit a satisfactory test score on the TOEFL or IELTS. Score requirements: 79 or 6.5 on the TOEFL/IELTS for regular admission, 61-78 or 5.5 and 6.0 for conditional admission. 6.  I-20

International students are also required to submit to CMU an I-20 Affidavit/Statement of Support form, along with evidence of financial support - reference:  2013-2014 cost information.
