MA in Chemistry, Duquesne University Dr. Wintermyer has been serving Central Michigan University's Physician Assistant Program as adjunct faculty since 2007. He is a 2005 graduate of CMU receiving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and has been awarded certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc. He earned a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry and a Master of Arts in Chemistry from Duquesne University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Wintermyer is currently a Physician Assistant with Midland Internal Medicine Associates, and previously worked for Gladwin Family Care Center-Adult, Family, and Internal Medicine. He did post doctoral research in Cell Biology in the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Medicine. He previously also was a Research Associate, Group Manager, Project Manager, and Intellectual Asset Manager for the Dow Chemical Company. In addition, Dr. Wintermyer was an active duty reserve officer for the U.S. Army/Vietnam Era, and a substitute high school Biology and Chemistry teacher.
Dr. Wintermyer has published extensively in the fields of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. He is a member of both the American and Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants and the American College of Physicians.
