Challenge: How can new intellectual property be evaluated by a new patent attorney?

Solution

We produced an application that organized potentially relevant patent numbers (and pre-grant applications) obtained by searching the US Patent & Trade Office. Components provide maps of claims, clustering of abstracts, claims, and descriptions based on words used, linked extracts of citations, inventors, and assignees.

This client was able to determine whether a concept was original and, while the concept was in development, how it could be modified to ensure clear intellectual property rights.
