MT PLEASANT, MI. October 1, 2010 - The Herbert H. and Grace A. College of Health Professions at Central Michigan University announces the creation of the Institute for Health and Business Insight (IHBI). The Institute will acquire the Business Insight Team at CMU-RC and expand investment in the application of predictive analytics to challenges in healthcare.
The diverse, cross-industry analytics services portfolio previously offered by the Business Insight Team will be maintained; however, the Institute will work closely with the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions and CMU's new College of Medicine to advance the application of data mining, advanced and predictive analytics in the health care sector.
Faculty and students from around the University will continue to have interdisciplinary opportunities to work with industry and get hands-on experience applying analytics to real-world issues by working with the IHBI.

The Institute for Health and Business Insight is housed on the CMU Mount Pleasant campus and offers corporations and organizations in all industries a non-profit option for consulting services that specialize in the use of data and advanced analytics to innovate, gain insight, or solve business problems.
