Women's Studies Program
2006-460-32 K
The Women's Studies program is an interdisciplinary course of study that fosters understanding of the ways in which social patterning of female and male roles impacts human behavior and the accumulation of knowledge.

Students work with faculty members to connect feminist theories with advocacy and social justice and to critique the cultural construction of gender and power in the global community.

This interdisciplinary field of study offers opportunities inside and outside the classroom that will help students develop the advocacy, research, critical thinking, and written and oral communication skills to prepare for their chosen careers.

The Women's Studies major requires 30 hours of coursework and a second major taken in any discipline offered at Central Michigan University. Click here to learn more.
