Andrew grew up in the Mount Pleasant area and attended CMU as a student for 3 years. In 2000, he went as an exchange student to Japan for one semester. It really changed his life. He met his wife and didn't come back to Michigan for 7 years!

Andrew finished his education at Temple University's Tokyo campus, where he earned a bachelor's degree in religion and then a master's degree in TESOL. He has two children, a girl and a boy. He is a gamer (both video games and old dice games) and loves to travel.
