Bio:

Rachel Foster-Lifson received her Ph.D. in Social-Personality Psychology from the University of Washington in 1989. She has been at Central Michigan University since 1989.

Research Interest:

Dr. Foster-Lifson is interested in how beliefs about men and women (gender stereotypes) affect self-esteem and the self-concept. In the past, she has focused on the impact of cultural religious beliefs on the self-concept. Dr. Foster-Lifson has also conducted research on eyewitness memory.
