CST-Dept---Department of Physics
Student Organizations

The CMU Department of Physics supports student honor societies, service clubs and chapters of professional societies. These opportunities enable you to become acquainted with professions and network with peers, faculty and professionals working in your field of interest.

Society of Physics Students

The Society of Physics students is a professional association explicitly designed for students. Membership, through collegiate chapters, is open to anyone interested in physics. The only requirement for membership is that you be interested in physics. Besides physics majors, our members include majors in chemistry, computer science, engineering, geology, mathematics, medicine and other fields.

The club meets every other Wednesday in Dow Science Complex 201 at 6:00 PM. Free pizza and pop! Click here to visit the national SPS web site.
